Robert Peck was running home and ditching school when he heard his neighbors cow weeping and crying he went up to the cow who was named Apron the cow was giving birth and was in a lot of pain Apron keeps running away Robert try's to pull the calf out of apron but the baby cow was slippery Robert says at this moment he will not run away from another problem he was tired of running away he then took his pants off and tied them around the calf as he tried to pull the calf out apron was running into the thorn bushes he ties the other end of his pants to a tree until Apron runs and she pulls the calf right out Apron starts gasping for air and cant breath and passes out thinking she was choking in an apple Robert reaches down her throat finds something and yanks it out it was her goiter he said someone once told me cows don't bite that person was more wrong than sin on Sunday
